EFT Tapping or the emotional freedom technique is a personal development technique approved by the American Psychological Association (APA) and is like acupuncture but without the needles. In simple terms, acupuncture points are tapped while the mind focuses on change.
What is tapping? Also known as EFT or Emotional Freedom Technique it is a way to help with stress and anxiety and also helps to end fears and phobias. It can even be used to help you with pain control.
Michael Ball appeared on BBC Breakfast and spoke about how Stephen Gately from Boyzone had taught him how to do it and how he then used it to help him overcome panic attacks which had stopped him going on stage.

Professor Tony Stewart is a specialist in public health and in this study that took place in Sandwell he found that all but one of 36 patients got better. He found that it worked across a range of issues. Mark WIlletts a classical guitarist saw tremendous benefits from it. It helped him with anxiety and depression.
As a Clinical Hypnotherapist I use EFT as part of my holistic approach to help people make changes that they really want in their lives.

Sleeping is a common problem for people with IBS. In addition to tapping directly on falling asleep and staying asleep, if you tap to relieve the stresses and anxieties of your day at bedtime, you will tend to have a more restful sleep.
